Story behind the song
I wrote this for a friend and his wife and sang it at their wedding. She passed away a number of years ago as a diabetic at a very young age. It's time that I share this with others...
Lyrics
OUR WEDDING DAY By: Robert A. Muscovitz Date: April 19, 1995 Revised: April 2003 I don’t want to change your ways To be someone that you’re not I’m thankful that you are here To tie this special knot And the water flows down my face Just to have you near And the summer wind has warmed my heart When you say, “I Love You, Dear” Our Wedding Day I promise to be your husband To have and hold, just you For better or worse I vow Faith, trust and truth And the winter snows have disappeared Flowers are in bloom And the covenants that we both said Are words, to just one tune Our Wedding Day I – give to you You give to me Songs and promises Thru’ words and poetry And the gown of white you wear today Is oh so--- heavenly And the veil now taken off your face Reveals true love for me And the water flows down my face For all the world to see And the sun has risen in our hearts This was meant to be Our Wedding Day Robert A.
