About A-Rock (founder) Anthony was born into a family of much musical influence. His grandmother and aunt often worked with record labels and radio stations. Anthony’s uncle was a disc jockey in local clubs. His upbringing influenced his musical ambitions. Anthony began spinning records in the late 1980’s and into the 1990’s; thereby making a name for himself, as DJ Ant for a rap group called Just Plain Dope. DJ Ant fell in love with hip-hop after just one visit to the recording studio. In 1999, DJ Ant left dee-jaying to invest in a new hobby, as A-Rock DaSupa, making beats for the Warlords, using an ARS-10 Keyboard. He formed the A-Rock Squad for unsigned artists. As A-Rock’s popularity grew, one of his instrumentals were stolen and released on the Belly Soundtrack as “Tommy’s Theme,” for which has never received credit. After group members of the Warlords moved away, A-Rock formed the Brick Yard Union, with his younger brother and college friends. In 2002, A-Rock joined the 16th Letter Management to produce music for R & B artist Lisa Thompson and Miscelanyus. Shortly after, he was awarded Producer of The Year at Urban Independent Music Awards 2003. A-Rock separated from 16th Letter Management to form an independent record label called, On Top the Mountain Records. A-Rock’s vision is to make an impact in the music industry business as one of the hottest producer of his time. A-Rock enjoys being independent label owner because he can expose new talent from all arenas, with his own style. Just Archie Archie Boone, entreprenuer-songwriter-musician, was introduced as Vanzetti to A-Rock by a mutual acquaintance. A-Rock took an opportunity to hear from the artist, and shortly thereafter they produced an entire album entitled, “Fight or Flight”. Then Vanzetti went on to join the OTM label roster and released a second hiphop/rap album entitled “Finding Archie”. It was becoming clearer that a new era was dawning as Vanzetti was to take position as partner of the label.
