Singer with Melliflous tones
Lucy has been working as a session vocalist for the past four years and also regularly singing backing vocals for the well-established Birmingham based band, Jason Ensa & The Lobsters of Freedom. Twelve months ago, Lucy embarked on her first independent project, 'The Thursday Club', to allow an alternative and favoured side of composing to emerge. Having always been keen on the Blues/Soul vibe, ‘The Thursday Club EP’ was a vehicle which allowed Lucy to experiment and develop new composing skills and to give her the chance to develop her already expressive and evocative style.
Lucy has also worked alongside other Birmingham based bands, being requested for recording sessions with the likes of Alaska, Crazyface and new solo artist, SK. She has also created material with local producer, Russell Pearce, writing and recording vocals for various club tracks which have now attracted interest from various record labels. She has recently worked with Martin Terefe from the Gaia Music Group, recording session vocals for a new solo artist. She has also completed the title track for a short film, commissioned by UnLtd Millennium Awards.
Her mellifluous tones, compelling voice, warm harmonies and professionalism are very much sought after and she is currently working on new material alongside Roy Hemmings of The Drifters, alongside two new female vocalists, Suzi Lauder and Clare Andress to further develop her singing and writing ability.
