Story behind the song
Was told to compose a song combining influences from two cultures (excluding western pop)... I used some african instruments and a reggae beat, and wrote a really really poppy song with an awful hook...
Lyrics
Hunger, hunger, hunger
Everywhere I hear about hunger
In the children's eyes
It's a sorry state of mind
But I know things should be different, could be different
And the people should be louder, shouting louder
To make a difference, hey hey
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Let's head to the future
Violence, violence, violence
Everywhere I look I see violence
And we all agree it's not how it should be
But you know you're worsening not solving the problem
All you people should start thinking, really thinking about your actions
Hey hey
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Let's head to the future
People, people, people
Everywhere I go there are people
Having petty fights over very petty things
But we know co-operation leads to progress and we need progress
There is no need to argue in a world of civilisation, hey hey
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Let's head to the future
Let's head to the future
Let's head to the future
Let's head to the future
