Eldritch soundscapes, shattered rhythms, mutated classical melodies, and amorphous atmospherics straight from the throne room of Azathoth.
"Nyarlathotep...the crawling chaos...I am the last...I will tell the audient void." So begins 's classic tale . Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos, embodies in audio sculpture and experimental classical music the same sense of cosmic isolation, horror, and insanity represented in Lovecraft's works. Be you a Lovecraftian scholar, an avid RPG player, or merely a fan of avant-garde music compounded of classical and contemporary attitudes, ambient soundscapes, synaesthetic melodies, and bizarre mutations of sound...Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos, no noubt has something to offer you! Turn up the speakers, chalk an Elder Sign above the door, and immerse yourself in the murky vastness of Lovecraftian space.

Story behind the song
This is one of the highlight tracks from the unrealized, never-quite-finished EP Entire cities built from the bones of the dead, a collection of incidental music for Caitl R. Kiernan's novel Low Red Moon. It was entirely conceived, recorded, mixed, and mastered in one single take.
