Lyrics
ah weel dae i mind in the days o lang syne when i was a laddie sae wee whenever i'd gang tae dae onything wrang ma mither wad lecture tae me she'd say tae me, bairn, stay awa' frae the women or ye'll rue it, the day ye begin, but i never thocht twice aboot takin' advice for twa heids are better than yin. and me bein' young a' i wanted was fun, an' the fust thing i got me was a wife a lass that was smart wi a wee warm heart tae sew on ma buttons for life, i ca'd her ma plum and ma wee current bun and i tickled her under the chin an' she says tae me, 'pat, get your han' oot o' that, or ye'll rue it the day ye begin.' last saturday night mon, i got such a fight, an' i nearly jumped oot o ma skin for tae my despair, my wife i declare had gied me the present o' twins. i says tae her 'jean, what the hell dae ye mean? it's a terrible thing that ye've done!' and she cried oot aloud, 'mon, ya ought ta be proud, for twa heids are better than yin!'
