This is an original tribute song to John McEnroe
Original Rockin' Blues with Tennis lyrics and songs about other bluesy people.
I recorded most of my songs with Daniel Giron, a classical and flamenco guitar wizard who now plays rockin' blues guitar with me . Bands I've perfomed with in the rockin' blues scene are the Albert Castiglia Band, Marcel Anton Band, D.W. Gill & Blues Phantoms, Walker Smith Band, The Juke Joint Kings(Host Tennis and Blues Band), Willie Lomax/Shaun Brown Band, Loansharks(NY Band), Charlie Chaplin Band(Reggae), Impulse(Reggae) amongst others. All of my songs are originals and I do all the songwriting. My new CD, entitled "Tennis, Blues and Other news", has a mix of Sports/Tennis songs mixed in with some funky, blues rockers.

Story behind the song
This is a tribute to the great ongoing career that John McEnroe is having. It reviews some of Mac's career highlights and also calls for Mac to support and play the new game of Tennis.
Lyrics
Just a Kid from Douglaston, New York; Training with Hopman out at Port; Playing Soccer in the city was the norm; But you took Junior Tennis by storm! Off you went to Stanford for a quick pitstop; Giving Gould a boost and Sadri the chop... Playing Wimbledon in 77' You shocked the world with your attacking game; Out of the gates you came... And the game was never the same
