A unique blend of jazz, neoclassicism, expressionism and Spirit.
When God gives you a gift you have two choices: Use it for your own glory or share it for His glory. The latter is better.

Story behind the song
We had friends who were expecting their first child. At the time my son was about two years old. I was asked if I could write a lullaby to be used during a surprise baby shower. Since several of our friends had sung in the Jazz Praise Choir at church I decided to write a piece that everyone could participate in. A lullaby? Maybe not, but I like the way it turned out. Due to a number of unforeseen events, the song was never performed by the group it was written for. I am still waiting impatiently for the right ensemble to do the piece justice.
Lyrics
All my life I've wanted to hold a newborn baby Look into eyes seeing light for the very first time Soon we will have a child of our own and no It doesn't matter, son or a daughter If he is strong or if she is beautiful God has blessed this union Now it's you and me and baby makes three You and me and baby makes three Oh, little hands Will you someday reach out to help a stranger Oh, little feet How I hope you will travel far Now how could it be you're smiling at me as though I wouldn't know just what you're thinking This babe in my arms, the fruit of our love that shows God has truly blessed us And it's you and me and baby makes three You and me and baby makes three All my life I have wanted to hold a newborn baby Look in two eyes seeing mine for that very first time Next thing you know we're watching you grow It's hard to imagine, this little baby Will someday grow up, will someday leave home We know God will help us till then 'Cause it's you and me and baby makes three You and me and baby makes three Hush, hush, somebody's sleeping Hush, hush, somebody's sleeping Please, please don't cry Please, please don't cry Don't you wake my child Don't you wake my child Copyright 1999 Dream Into Reality Music/ASCAP www.dreamintoreality.us
