Story behind the song
Simon and Helena were with us at a Memorial Day picnic in Pasadena back in the year 2000. As I remember Helena telling me about how she felt about the man she would later marry, a new song was born. The words attempt to reflect a dicotomy of male and female emotions that find commonality together when at last the two are united. Thank you also to Rick and Anne and Susan for that trip up to watch the meteor shower. It caused me to start writing again.
