A song about addiction.
Songwriter, do-it-himselfer, jack of all trades.
Not a band, just a songwriter with a lot of creativity and determination.

Story behind the song
It's just always amazed me how some people are able to rationalize or even enjoy their addictions.
Lyrics
Euphoric Walking a tightrope And tightening a noose around your neck Strung out Pushing the envelope Dodging bullets with a monkey on your back Send me alone off into the night Hard on a trip down the line Turn me loose with one purpose in life Connecting the cracks in the ice Dichotomy Just like the needle Gruesome, but the gateway to the mind Fixation Smiles like the bottle Sending serotonin to your spine Send me alone off into the night Hard on a trip down the line Turn me loose with one purpose in life Connecting the cracks in the ice And go out with one of each kind Relapse It’s dedicated Enablers aren’t the villains, they’re just the guides And a junkie Once educated Can celebrate the artist trapped inside Send me alone off into the night Hard on a trip down the line Turn me loose with purpose in life Connecting the cracks in the ice And go out with one of each kind

Really enjoyed this song, has a unique style and flavor. I've heard a small handful of some really good songs on SC dealing with addiction, now I can add yours to the list. Nice lyrics....like the driving rhythm and soulful vocals, great production....5 stars all the way. I also wrote a song about addiction, a very good, old friend of mine. Song is on my musicpage and called "Latest Casualty", was a nice release for me to write than when I did, nothing much a friend or family member can do to help those with bad addictions....they "have" to help themselves. Take care and thanks for sharing this song. ~strummergurl~
