I like the "upfront and personal" approach to the vocals and the gentle harmonizing. Very radio-friendly country song with good strong story telling. I like the melodic guitar picking and the toe-tapping pace. Nice hook with the chorus too. You mentioned a re-mix - I'll send you note about that ;)

Once again, way to go man. It makes me remember all those places from our past that have been lost that cant be returned to. Thanks again for taking us on a simple glimpse to those lost times.

I mean, there´s a perfect band playing, like the guitars, steady drums and bass foundation, but what counts are the words and how they are sung.
Sometimes I´m a bit jealous not being able to do songs like this. Many reasons.
1. I´m not a native speaker
2. I´m not living in North America which means I am nowhere close to the tradition of storytelling/poetry. We don´t have these personalized stories of single human beings failing and still moving on, maybe somewhere in OMAHA or so. Here people talk and write about the BIG THINGS that happen in Berlin or London or Paris, but not in OMAHA or p
A lovely story song. nice gentle vocal delivery, and excellent music. Love Hayley
