This song is about the excuse making epidemic in all Sports and a possible solution to help athletes understand the problem better through the song's original lyrics.

I recorded most of my songs with Daniel Giron, a classical and flamenco guitar wizard who now plays rockin' blues guitar with me . Bands I've perfomed with in the rockin' blues scene are the Albert Castiglia Band, Marcel Anton Band, D.W. Gill & Blues Phantoms, Walker Smith Band, The Juke Joint Kings(Host Tennis and Blues Band), Willie Lomax/Shaun Brown Band, Loansharks(NY Band), Charlie Chaplin Band(Reggae), Impulse(Reggae) amongst others. All of my songs are originals and I do all the songwriting. My new CD, entitled "Tennis, Blues and Other news", has a mix of Sports/Tennis songs mixed in with some funky, blues rockers.

Story behind the song
I recorded this song in Naples with Frankie Carrol, a reggae and Blues musician, and band. As a former College Tennis Coach, I am well aware of all the excuses that plague our game and our players' mental game. This song can be helpful therapy for Athletes who compete at all levels of Sports. Coach Chuck Kriese, former 35 years the legendary Clemson Tennis Coach, taught me a thing or two about Excuses and their detrimental effect on athletes looking to go to the top!! This song will be an epic song for the ages with Coaches around the world, especially Kinks fans(Paranoia, it destroya!).
